I recently had the pleasure of photographing a beautiful wedding on top of the San Jacinto mountain here in Palm Springs for Aleks and Zac. The mountain’s sweeping views of the surrounding desert made for a breathtaking setting for the intimate ceremony with their family members.
Located just a short drive from the San Jacinto mountain, this iconic attraction takes visitors on a breathtaking journey up the mountain in a rotating tramcar.
The tram ride is an experience not to be missed, as the car slowly rotates 360 degrees, offering stunning views of the surrounding desert and mountain ranges. Once at the top, visitors can explore the mountain’s breathtaking vistas and enjoy a meal at the mountaintop restaurant.
In addition to the stunning views, the tramway also offers a variety of outdoor activities such as hiking, rock climbing, and picnicking. Whether you’re looking for a unique way to travel to the top of the mountain for your elopement or enjoy the beautiful scenery, the Palm Springs Aerial Tramway is a must-visit destination.
Before the ceremony, we headed to the Old Las Palmas neighborhood in Palm Springs for family portraits. This historic area, filled with charming mid-century modern homes and colorful murals, provided a unique and picturesque backdrop for the photos.
After the ceremony, we headed to the Palm Springs Art Museum for portraits of the newlyweds. The museum’s stunning architecture and art installations made for a romantic and modern setting to capture the couple’s special moments!
Finally, we finished the day with a dinner reception in the intimate basement of LG Steakhouse in La Quinta, just a short 35 minute drive south of Palm Springs.
Overall, it was a truly unforgettable day and a pleasure to photograph. The Palm Springs area offers a diverse range of natural beauty and modern architecture, making it a perfect location for any wedding or elopement. Its natural light and stunning landscapes make it an ideal place to capture timeless and beautiful photos! You will find a mix of digital and film photographs in the gallery below.
