Mill Valley, California Wedding

Super 8mm, Film, Polaroid & Digital

I met Lauren and Gabe a few years ago when I photographed their engagement session in San Francisco on a cross-country road trip! This was one of my final stops before reaching my final destination, Portland, Oregon. I spent the weekend with them at their adorable home right by the Golden Gate Bridge. This session was back in 2019 when they booked me for their wedding but COVID-19 has different plans. After a few postponements, Lauren and Gabe officially celebrated their wedding in April of 2022 and it was all worth the wait in my opinion. This Mill Valley California wedding was charming and in the cutest, quiet town. They got ready at the Mill Valley Inn and had their ceremony and reception at the Outdoor Art Club

Mill Valley is located in Marin County, just 14 miles north of San Francisco after taking the Golden Gate Bridge. This town is also super close to Napa Valley for all my wine lovers! If you’re looking for a getaway in the Northern California area but don’t want to be in the big city, I highly recommend staying here!

5 Things to do near Mill Valley, California:

01. Visit the Muir Woods

The Muir Woods are known for their old-growth redwood trees!

02. Mount Tamalpais State Park

This park has so much to offer including red wood forests, wide open grasslands, and the perfect place for a picnic. Look for the hidden swing overlooking the ocean!

03. Dinner in Sausalito

There are so many wonderful seafood restaurants in the heart of Sausalito!

04. San Francisco Botanical Garden

This is the perfect place to go for a walk and see all of the beautiful flowers! I highly recommend going in the spring months!

05. Lunch at The Painted Ladies

One of my favorite things to do every time I visit the bay area is go to The Mill Bakery for Avocado toast and eat in at this park!

Lauren and Gabe’s wedding weekend started off with a boat cruise around the bay area. We started in Sausalito, and made our way under the Golden Gate Bridge, past Alcatraz and towards the Oakland Bay Bridge by the city line before turning around.

The day after their wedding they had breakfast pizza with all their friends and family at a local restaurant right down the road from their hotel.

This Mill Valley California wedding weekend was so warm and beautiful and it was an absolute honor to photograph the love shared between all their family and friends!
