I don’t even know where to begin with these two! Sarah and Dakota were SO much fun to hang out with and photograph. Their love is so prevalent and it shows up just as much while being photographed. This couples session at sand dunes in Florence, Oregon was a dream.
I met these two on Instagram recently and was so thrilled when they wanted photos done! Sarah is also a portrait and wedding photographer based in Eugene, Oregon while her boyfriend, Dakota cooks extravagant meals for micro-weddings and elopements!
Sarah and Dakota are such beautiful souls and their aura is so warm to be around. The second that I met them in person – they made me feel so cared for, which is never something I take lightly.
I had been wanting to shoot at some dunes lately and we found just the perfect spot for a session. Jessie M. Honeyman in Florence, Oregon. Y’all… this place is a hidden gem. Very few people were here which was great because we could run around and create the magic you are about to see…
To start the shoot, Dakota made us some delicious Hot Toddies to warm us up… *no pun intended* and we were on our way. We took polaroids, medium format film, and of course, digital pictures.
On this session, I wanted to challenge myself to take more film photos and GIFS. GIFS are something that I have wanted to do for quite some time but have never made the effort to learn fully. It was certainly a learning curve but now I CAN’T STOP MAKING THEM! If you have a session with me coming up, you can expect plenty of fun ones!
It rained and poured but that made this session 10x better. Sarah and Dakota jumped in the (surprisingly warm) lake, too! The vibes were immaculate and we shared so many laughs.
These two were also sweet enough to give me a gift bag on my way home… oat milk chocolate, jam, and a candle! What did I do deserve to have such incredible, caring clients?
I hope you LOVE these images half as much as I do! If you are wanting to get in touch about planning your special shoot, let’s start creating! Whether it’s a session at sand dunes in Florence, Oregon or traveling somewhere new, I’m up for an adventure!
