Anniversary Session in Pheonix, Arizona

The summer of 2019 was my first time driving cross country. I made some of the best memories of my life. So, when my friend Lexie Wilson asked me to join her as she moved from Virginia to Washington, I couldn’t say no. We both had the crazy idea of finding a couple to photograph on our drive out west, both being photographers. Our first instinct was to search on Instagram for who we thought would be a great fit for a session. We found a gorgeous couple – Nico and Carly – and reached out. It was also close to their anniversary date! We had some mutual friends, and they were so kind.

We met them at a little park near Saguaro Cactuses in Phoenix, Arizona. All of the awesome colors and textures were so inspiring. They were easy to photograph – they were full of laughter and pure joy. Their love for one another was so evident, making this session an absolute breeze. Capturing this love is what makes me love my job so much! Lexie and I had a blast getting to know them and shooting this beautiful couple. They were humble, kind, and so photogenic. They have been married for a few years, and their love is truly extraordinary. This Pheonix Arizona anniversary session is one that I will always remember.

Lexie and I finished the afternoon off by exploring Phoenix. We walked around downtown, and I was genuinely amazed. I’m sure anyone that has been to Phoenix can agree – the architecture is breathtaking. There are so many details, and it is phenomenal. I have never seen anywhere like it! Lexie and I ended the night with great food at a local restaurant and staying at the cutest Airbnb.

I am so grateful to have a friend like Lexie and am so excited to *hopefully* work with her soon. I would love to go back to Phoenix soon and explore more and shoot more weddings or elopements.
